What you can contribute
- Memories and family stories, including the everyday details that might otherwise be lost.
- Photographs, letters, diaries, programmes, maps, and other documents.
- Physical items that could be scanned or photographed by arrangement.
- Corrections to names, dates, places, and captions, with the source of your information.
- Leads to material held elsewhere, including a catalogue reference or book page.
Tell us who, where, and approximately when. Say what you know firsthand, what someone told you, and what remains uncertain. Include the original creator or source when you know it, along with your preferred credit.
Using the form
The form tells you whether it downloads a local Markdown draft or sends text for private review. Downloading a draft does not submit it. In draft mode, keep your downloaded copy; the page does not save your writing for a later visit.
When the submission service is enabled, a successful submission returns a reference number. Nothing is published automatically, and the review checkbox does not grant publication permission. Keep a copy of your contribution.
The form accepts written descriptions, with no file attachments. For a photograph, document, or physical item, describe what you have and any known names, dates, sources, or restrictions. Keep originals with you until a specific scanning or handoff arrangement has been agreed. No mailing address or collection service is offered through this form.
