DelBonita.com preserves the history, stories, life, and joy of Del Bonita: a living memorial of a still-living town. These guidelines also apply to contributions to the shared WhiskeyGap.com archive.
Tell us what you know
Memories, family accounts, photographs, documents, identifications, and corrections are welcome. Include names, places, approximate dates, and how you know the information. Label uncertain details as uncertain. For a correction, give the page address or record title and the source supporting your change.
Permission and credit
Identify who created an item and where it came from when you can. Tell us how you would like to be credited, or whether you prefer no public contributor credit. Describe any restrictions and avoid sharing another person’s private information without their permission.
Sending something for review does not transfer ownership or grant permission to publish it. Public use, credit, and any restrictions must be agreed before publication. Review considers the people represented in the material as well as its source. A submission is never published automatically, and acceptance for review does not promise publication.
Photographs, documents, and physical items
Use the form to describe the item first; it accepts text and has no attachment upload. Keep original files, photographs, and objects. A physical item may be suitable for scanning or photography, but any handoff, handling, return, or transfer arrangement must be agreed separately before it is sent. No mailing address or collection service is offered through this form.
Photograph or scan labels, notes, and the backs of photographs when they provide context. Keep an unaltered copy of the original image or file.
Drafts and private review
In draft mode, the form downloads a Markdown file for you to keep and sends nothing. When the submission service is enabled, the form sends the text to a private review queue and returns a reference number after a successful save. Keep your copy. The privacy policy explains what the form and service store.
Contributions here mean stories, knowledge, and historical material. The archive does not accept monetary donations.
